    Hi Angelo, I’m currently riding a 144 (178cm, 72kg) Do you think a 142cm would suit me better or should I look for a 138cm instead?

    Hi, hope you are still around, great review! Just wanted to check, I’m 5’10, 85 kgs, 10.5 us boot, would the 159 work for me?

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS 2 дні тому

      Hi so the 159cm would work, However i would recommend the 156cm at your weight, triple base is designed to feel bigger in the powder so sizing down is not an issue, To give you an example Im 89kgs and i ride the 156cm. The 159 cm would work i just think the 156cm would be a better all round size for you. i hope this helps and check out the new model here - s2as.com/products/2025-bataleon-goliath-snowboard

    Fell in love with this board during the 2024 season, took it out 30+ days. Just picked up a 2nd so I can keep on riding this board for years! @3:30 when he talks about the board straightening itself out on jumps he isn't kidding, This board dose the work! There were a couple times I was sure I was going to land off a jump and catch edge, but the board somehow just pulled me out of it and kept on going. Super flowy and fun to ride, really like the color's. This setup get's a lot of likes on the resorts. I do find with the 3BT it is a little harder to go from edge to edge at very slow speeds, but you wont be going slow for long on this board. Waxing the 3BT is kind of different and a little more difficult then a regular (flat) base.

    I'm 180.5cm and about 79-83kg. Boot size is between 10 - 10.5 US (about 43.5 Euro). I'm thinking 156 as an all-mountain where I will am learning to butter as well. Is that too small for me?

  • @Hazah777
    @Hazah777 5 місяців тому

    I'm 180cm and float between 79-83kg. Boot size 10.5 or 11 US. What size should I go for? Also, I'm not sure if I want to go for the Goliath or Goliath+. I want to start learning a lot more butter tricks and the Goliath may be better (less stiff)? Currently I love my 2015/16 Goliath Plus, which is way before all these new tech, but I find it too stiff to learn to butter.

      I just got my goliath plus in the 161w. I haven't used it yet but feel like it might be too big. The reason I got it is because the sizing suggestion on the bataleon website recommends 161w for US size10-13. I'm 5' 10.5" and 185lbs. Size 10 boot. I might get another opinion before I unwrap it.

    Hi! What do you think, how will this spine structure work while edging for air tricks? I need something all-purpose for obstacles, kickers and learning air tricks as well. Maybe Atmos is not the best option for me comparing to Hyperlite ATV/Pleasure?

  • @tonybullet24
    @tonybullet24 6 місяців тому

    Hello and huge thank you for really detailed video! I'd be grateful for your advice because I can't choose between Hyperlite ATV and Pleasure. I like jibbing features, kickers and I just started to learn air tricks. ATV is my favourite option for now (just due to the topsheet colors, haha). But ATV has flex rating = 2 and Pleasure is 5 and these numbers look completely different (5 is the flexiest level), I can't understand what is better for my purposes. Also a question regarding sizing - I'm ~88kg and this is a top border of 148cm range. Should I go with 148 or it makes sense to take the next size 152/153cm?

  • @davidbauer7

    Hi, Angelo. Great review I must say. And I've seen a lot of them. :) I am a small guy, my weight is only 62 kg, hopefully I'll manage to get to 65. Could I ride 156 or do I really need 153 size? Thanks a lot for help! D.

  • @jimnyshredder
    @jimnyshredder 6 місяців тому

    Got one when they came out, solid board and very stable in most conditions. The only negative (for me) is it’s stiffness makes it hard for jibbing features.

    If the Super Tubes and Carbon Layup are laid out directional, won't the Goliath+ ride completely differently switch? Would I have to go to the Evil Twin+ for a comparable board that rides the same in both directions?

    • @S2AS
      @S2AS 6 місяців тому

      So it’s a directional twin and “completely different” no. Yes I will be slightly different as it’s not a true twin. But it’s mainly the flex pattern 80% of snowboarder would not even notice the difference. But still it would be different yes. If you want a true twin then the Evil Twin Plus would be the one. Just odered the 2024 supermatic, though I’ve been hearing sometimes they get stuck and won’t release. Was outside a Willis at a vail resort and a guy brought his stuck bonding up. Edit: the any boot part is incorrect. There are sever step in/on boots that will not work with this. I have a pair of oxygen boots I still run from the 2000s that have a metal tab sticking out the back that in no way would fit in this binding. I doubt burtons would either without removal of the real piece.

    • @Daz555Daz

    • @shambles416
      @shambles416 2 місяці тому

      What I figured out with that is don't have the binding set super tight and when using the release, keep your heel down and hi back not set too forward, there's definitely a short learning curve with these but when you got it down it's smooth AF

    Two Q’s: 1) I normally ride a 155. Would you suggest this in a 153 or a 156 for me? (162 lbs, size 9 boot). And 2) What would you recommend between this and the Whatever? I know the Whatever has more pronounced 3BT, but I’ve never ridden 3BT. Thanks 🙏

    I am looking to buy this exact board here in 2024. I must say, as an experienced rider who is looking to mellow out on park riding and start doing more free riding and powder, as well as back country, this board is checking all my boxes. The pointed nose and tail will create less drag and allow less catch when transferring between switch and regular. As well as slicing through powder. The stiffer nature allows more pop, easier to pop out of tight spots when you need to make a sudden unplanned jump. Having it in 160df is the icing on the cake. I have rode a Ride Kink 162 W for many years (love that board) but i have always thought it was a tiny bit long and been looking to size down to 160. The Ride Kink also has a softer core, it's amazing for park and butters and tricks but doesn't quite have that pop you would always need. (I am splitting hairs to be clear). Being a size 12 foot I always buy wide models, so having a 160df on westbound is perfection. I cannot wait to try this board out.

    I see the 20y Goliath behind you. I bought it and waiting to use it early feb. is it the same as this Goliath? I saw another UA-camr say the 20y couldn’t get speed compared to this Goliath; of course I saw it after I got home haha
